The Advanced Design Engineer is an integral part of our technical team supporting the sales and manufacturing process as well as driving product innovation across the Company’s many product lines and market segments. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team! This Engineer will be responsible for new equipment design and documentation and sales order and manufacturing support.  This Position will be a member of various process improvement and innovation project teams and will assist in developing and establishing various processes and procedures with the objective being to maximize and streamline engineering and production efficiency. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Lead new product development projects from product conception through production launch.
  • Provide hands-on mechanical engineering support and solutions to manufacturing and sales
  • Provide technical and engineering support for active sales orders completing custom designs, technical calculations, Bill of Materials, & drawing requirements
  • Point of contact for sales, service and manufacturing for assigned sales orders and projects
  • Lead or participant in key product and process improvement initiatives
  • Develop and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement actions  

 

  

 Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Engineering and technical support in the design, engineer and build to order equipment market of any type.
  • Strong understanding of the product development process and the use of project management tools
  • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems involved with designed, engineered and build to order industrial equipment.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and process improvement skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Proven professional qualities including strong initiative, integrity, and the desire/ability to work in a team environment
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing initiatives (continuous improvement and Six Sigma) desired
  • Pro-Engineer/Creo 3D modeling experience a plus
